Peter Shaw
Peter Shaw was born in 1976 in Ballarat. In 1980 he moved to Dunneworthy near Ararat.
Between 1994 and 1996 he studied for a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. At university he played club rugby and also represented Victoria, in rugby.
After graduating he worked on the family farm before taking up the Melbourne University Rugby Football Club scholarship.
In England he played for Rosslyn Park F.C. in the English Third Division. Despite breaking his leg he remained in England to pursue opportunities to work and travel.
He returned to Australia at the end of 99 and had a second leg operation and has worked in the farming and finance industries since 2001.
He has a strong interest in sport and technology and 2007 formed LocalHero. A website/application to link local content to local people.
In his spre time he keeps fit by playing sports including touch football and rugby. He is the president of Royal Park Touch Association and the founder of the E.M. Shaw Cup.
