This year the descendants of Mary Anne Fitzpatrick nee Walsh, wife of James Fitzpatrick, will gather to commemorate 100 years since she died at the amazing age of 91. Her husband lived until he was 94. The stunning area that is the beautiful Maribyrnong River I&#039;m sure must have nourished her.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[My grandparents (Frank and Mary Grech) had the Dairy Farm on Military Road which is the site of the shopping centre. The original Homestead is now were the McDonald&#039;s is located. My father (Joseph Grech)  had the Service Station and Workshop Corner Wood Street and Military Road, called West Maribynong  Motors. Our Family house was located next door to the Service Station.]]></description>

The whole valley and surrounding bluestone plateau is an amazing area full of surprises, both natural and historic, from unusual animals like the rakali to ancient indigenous implements. There is even a little colony of bellbirds along the path at the bottom of Canning Street.]]></description>
