He had been Shire Clerk of Lincolnshire, though counties as such had not been officially proclaimed. He and family sailed from Liverpool to Melbourne in 1852. It appears that in the meantime he had to fend for himself & there is reference to a person of his name being declared bankrupt. I would be interested to learn of anything that you may have on him. He is recorded as being a Parliamentary Agent in Albury where he died in 1881. (03) 9842-5649
