My Nan (Beryl) lived at 27 Curren St before she married my pop Ernest Carlisle. My mum is Maureen Carlisle she also done Irish Dancing taught by Lois Limmer at St Michael’s Primary School Hall.

I lived with my parents at 19 Curren St from 1939 to 1956 and I remember the Carlisle’s very well. They used to deliver our fresh milk daily – no bottle just poured into a billy left on the veranda.
I went to a preschool ( kindergarten ) on the corner of Melrose and Mark streets and then to
Boundary Road State School . I also went to Brougham Street Methodist Church. No doubt your Nan and Pop would have known the Spence Family who lived in Brougham Street near
Melrose street and the Catholic School.
